When your dream client lands on your home page it is usually because they are searching for something in particular and more often than not, especially for new sites, yours is not the first site they have visited on their quest for information.

What will make them stay and explore your site further?

How can you make your site irresistible?

What will make them want to stay?

Follow our home page hacks to make sure your dream clients keep coming back:

When creating your website the most important thing you need to know is who your dream
clients are.

Do some research.

Who would you most like to attract to your business?

Who do you want to work with?

Who do you feel a connection with?

How/why do you relate to them?

Why do you want to attract them?

What can you do for them?

What do they love?

What excites them?

How do they talk? Communicate?

Your dream clients need to be your primary focus. Settling for anyone else will dull your passion and spirit for the business you dream of. You have got to love what you do and a huge part of that is loving who you are doing
it for.

You also need to get absolutely, crystal clear on what you can do for them.

What problems are they going through?

What solution do you hold for them?

What do you want them to know?

What is your purpose?

How do you want them to feel after checking out your home page?

Then you need to know what you want them to do.

So what do you want them to do?

How easy is it for them to do it?

What objections do you need to answer to stop them from stumbling away?

Again, how do you want them to feel?

How can you communicate all of this clearly?

Finally, in order for your home page and in fact, any page on your site to connect with your dream clients you need to be your amazing, authentic self. Forget the professional spiel, the ‘proper’ language, and just write how you would speak. Be true to who you are and your dream clients will love you for it. If you think you have to change the way you speak, look and/or act to attract your dream clients, then they are not your dream clients. For your business to be super successful and as amazing as you are, you have to be as you are. When you change you to suit your business the drive won’t last. You will run out of fuel.
Pretending to be someone you are not is exhausting, it’s stressful and will leave you bitter and resentful. I am absolutely positive that that is not what you want for you or your business.

The other thing with ensuring that you use your own voice in your copy is to avoid disappointment. You have spent all that time getting the wording right, you have attracted the clients you envisage but when the time comes for you to connect and you are not who they thought, then you’ve lost them, you’ve lost any future recommendations and both of you come away disappointed. Make sure you really know who your dream clients are and be so very true to who you are. Apart from spell checking and punctuation, forget all the other ‘rules’. You’re not sitting an English exam.

It is your business, it is your website, it is your home page, and your dream clients are waiting for you to show up.
